COVID-19 vaccination conversations initiative update
This initiative has proved very successful and funding will continue until 10 December 2021.
The initiative currently includes proactive virtual consultations (i.e. in-depth phone conversations) with unvaccinated enrolled Māori and Pacific patients and those with Long Term Conditions. For the last 8 days of this initiative, it can also be extended to include unvaccinated pregnant women, to also encourage them to get vaccinated.
Please note:
A claim can only be made when a conversation has taken place with a patient or member of their family. If the claim is for a family member of a patient, please include their NHI number in the claim.
Vaccine certificate printing – funding
Following this morning’s message about the printing of vaccine certificates, we can now confirm that the rate for printing these certificates is $10.00 (excluding GST) for all providers who have this functionality (access to the CIR).
The fee is for each person that receives a My Vaccine Pass and/or an International Travel Vaccination Certificate (a person may ask for both). The fee includes the printing and emailing (if requested) of a My Vaccine Pass and/or International Travel Vaccination Certificate. Please note that if a person asks for a pass and a certificate on separate visits this is funded as separate events, as the person’s identification must be confirmed twice.
The claiming mechanism for this activity is through POAC and this is currently being finalised. It will be notified via Medinz when available. Until then, please do not charge people but keep a note of their name, NHI, DOB and the request date.
Backdated claiming from GPs will be accepted from 1 December. For community pharmacy sites, backdated claiming will be accepted from 26 November. These dates have been linked to when the functionality for the service was enabled for both groups.
