Website reminder
If you’re not offering a COVID-19 vaccination service, please direct people to our website for information about their nearest COVID-19 vaccination site: www.vaccinateforauckland.nz.
There are now around 400 vaccinating GP clinics and community pharmacies, plus our community vaccination centres. Many of these centres are now drive-throughs and some are walk-ins. A new walk-in centre opened recently at The Cloud in central Auckland.
Vaccination service changes
If you are vaccinating, please ensure your service details are kept up to date on your HealthPoint page, including the times and days you are offering vaccinations.
If you cease offering COVID-19 vaccinations for any reason, please advise the NRHCC team as soon as possible: NRHCCPrimarycarevax@adhb.govt.nz
The Big Boost campaign – new resources, new activity
See The Big Boost webpage for new video resources to encourage people to get their boosters. There’s a video featuring Dr Ashley Bloomfield, plus new short videos with experts, including Dr Lily Fraser, Dr Antony Jordan, Dr Api Talemaitoga, and Dr Siouxsie Wiles. Click on the ‘Download our resources’ button at the bottom of the page to access these.
Promotion of The Big Boost is continuing throughout February, including a ‘Time to Boost your whānau protection’ campaign which starts this week. This focuses on reaching whānau Māori and the importance of coming together to get vaccinated.
Resources with myocarditis and pericarditis included
New sections have been added to the ‘What to expect when you get your vaccine’ handout and the ‘Pfizer Vaccine brochure’ – see attached. Please recycle the previous versions and use these latest ones.
