General Practice Business Support Advisor


We are an, energetic, vibrant and flexible Primary Health Organisation (PHO) with a professional and quality improvement culture and one of two PHOs in Auckland, funded by the Auckland District Health Board.


Auckland PHO’s purpose is to Improve the lives of those we serve by providing inclusive, innovative and compassionate primary health care.  One of the ways we do this is to ensure our general practice teams of doctors, nurses and administrative staff have the tools they need to deliver services that support our Purpose.


The role of Business Support Advisor exists to provide health information technology, business system and practice management support to our general practices by facilitating:
  • Finance administration support
  • Business development and improvement
  • Enhancement of systems and support
  • Practice Management Software (PMS) support and training


Our ideal candidate is someone who can:
  • add value to our team and general practice network using your previous experience and training
  • has strengths in building rapport, credibility and trust with colleagues and stakeholders
  • has great communication skills that can affect positive change
  • enjoys being involved in innovation and the design of new services
