New Staff at Auckland PHO
I would like to introduce our newest Auckland PHO staff member Alexa Cunningham. Alexa’s role as Practice Support and Improvement Assistant is to support and assist Practice teams with internal and external quality improvement indicators that contribute directly to patient care.
Alexa can provide back-office support for a range of administrative functions for the practice, thus enabling front line and administrative staff to focus on patient care.

IMAC Webinar tonight cancelled
We have been informed that the webinar tonight on Comirnaty for under 5 year olds has been postponed until next week. A new date will be issued soon.
Auckland PHO Programme: Healthy Mama Healthy Pēpi
A reminder that Auckland PHO funds a post-natal check for post-partum women up to 8 weeks and at the same time the (baby) has their 6-week immunisations.

When a GP/practice receives an inbox newborn notification and it has been accepted by the practice, it is recommended that the whānau/family are contacted within the first 2 weeks of notification and an appointment made for the check and immunisation.
The kete is seen as a gift from the Practice to welcome the new addition to the whānau. The kete contains a non-gender specific muslin baby wrap along with a few immunisation resources as welcome gift for the pēpi at the time of the Healthy Mama Healthy Pēpi appointment.
